We are excited today to announce the release of two powerful new features at JobPixel - support for Closed Captions and Candidate Shortlists.
Closed Captions
One of our core product design philosophies is around the simplicity and accessibility of our product. We strive to ensure that everyone wanting to use our product has as seamless and intuitive of a path to do so as possible. This includes our desire to ensure our product works well for people with permanent or temporary disabilities.
As of today, all job post videos and application videos created on or uploaded to JobPixel will automatically be transcribed and closed captions made available to enable within our video player.
To view closed captions on your video, simply toggle the “cc” option next to the playback slider in the player:
Candidate Shortlists
When reviewing application videos, Recruiters and Hiring Managers will now have an easy way to keep track of their favorite candidates.
With just a single click, applicants can be added to the Candidate Shortlist. Once added, the shortlisted candidate’s video card will appear with a green border, acting as a quick visual indicator. If at any time you want to remove a candidate from the shortlist, just click on the shortlist icon again.
From your My Jobs Dashboard, use the filter and/or sort dropdowns to view your applicant videos by their shortlist status and when the time comes to share the applicants with your hiring team for ratings and comments, choose whether to share all applicants or only shortlisted candidates for each job.
We are constantly searching for better ways to make JobPixel the most accessible and delightful product experience possible. Take the new features for a spin and let us know what you think!
